1. Me and your privacy

​

1.1 I am Louise Powers acting as a sole trader. I will receive and record personal information from my customers so that I may provide services and goods to my customers. If you do not give your personal information to me, I will regrettably be unable to provide you with the services and goods available through my website.

1.2 I am the data controller for the personal information you give to me. This means that I am responsible for looking after your personal information so that:

  • It is only used lawfully and fairly

  • It is only used for the purposes I tell you about

  • It is kept securely

  • It is only kept for as long as I need it

  • I only take from you as much as I need to provide my services and goods to you and no more

  • You can exercise your legal rights as a data subject in relation to your personal information

  • It is not transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area with inadequate protection for your rights and freedoms in relation to your personal information

1.3 I am registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZA307786.

1.4 I may occasionally update this privacy policy so please refer back to it in the future.

 

2. Lawful and fair

2.1 I take and use your personal information lawfully in accordance with my legitimate interest in running a business through my e-commerce website and providing services and goods to you. Without your personal information I would not be able to provide services or goods to you.

2.2  The personal information I will collect about you will be:

  • Your name (so I know who you are)

  • Your email address (so I can send order confirmations, news and other information to you or communicate about bespoke orders)

  • Your mobile number (but only if needed for text services including order confirmations or to communicate about bespoke orders)

  • Your postal address (so I can send goods to you)

 

3. Purposes

3.1 I will use your information fairly by telling you the purposes for which I will use it.

3.2 I will use your personal information so that I can:

  • Communicate with you about goods and services you have ordered 

  • Where you order goods from me, arrange delivery to your postal address

  • Contact you by email with, news, offers and promotions. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails from me, you can unsubscribe at any time by emailingloulou.powers@gmail.com

  • Ask you for feedback about my goods and services

  • Analyse my sales to improve and increase the appeal of the goods and services I provide

  • Comply with my legal obligations as a data controller

  • Deal with complaints or legal issues you raise with me

3.3 I will not share your personal information with anyone else without your permission, unless I must for legal reasons, such as:

  • sharing with the police to help prevent or detect crime

  • sharing with HM Revenue and Customs in connection with tax matters

  • where my business is sold to a third party

3.4 I use Wix to host my website and store all my customer records. This means that Wix act as a data processor for me so they will only use your personal information as authorised by me. Wix may also pass your personal information to their own data processors to process on their behalf, see Wix’s privacy policy at https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

4. Storage and Security

4.1 Your personal information will be kept by Wix at its secure data centres around the world. Wix employs appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Please see section 14 of the Wix privacy policy for information on security. 

4.2 Payments made through my website are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard; for more information see Section 14 of the Wix Privacy Policy https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

5. How long I keep your personal information

​

5.1 I will keep the personal information you give me in connection with purchases for a year from the last time you purchased anything from me, at which time your personal information will be deleted from all my purchase records.

5.2 I will keep the personal information you give me when you agree to receive marketing from me until you tell me you want to unsubscribe. After that, your personal information will be deleted from my distribution list within two weeks of you telling me you wish to unsubscribe.

6. Only as much information as needed and no more

​

6.1 I will only take the minimum amount of personal information I need to provide the best goods and services to you as an individual and for the purposes I tell you about.

7. Your rights as a data subject

​

7.1 When I use your personal information, you are a data subject. As a data subject you have certain legal rights. These are:

1.   The right to be informed –

I must tell you how I use your personal information and why and other prescribed information set out in this privacy policy.

2.   The right of access –

I must give you details of all the personal information I hold about you if you request me to. There is no charge for requesting details of your personal information. I must comply with your request within one month of receiving it.

3.   The right to rectification –

You can request me to rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal information I hold about you. I must comply with your request to rectify your personal information within one month of receiving it.

4.   The right to erase –

This is also called the right to be forgotten. It may apply where you have posted a comment on my website, such as a review, but no longer wish to have the comment publicly viewable. I will comply with your request to delete your post within one month of receiving it.

5.   The right to restrict processing –

When you tell me that the personal information I hold about you is inaccurate, I cannot use your personal information for any purpose until I have verified its accuracy.

6.   The right to data portability –

You have the right to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services. It is unlikely that circumstances will arise where you would want to port your personal information to another provider, this right was intended to facilitate bank and services switching, but if you do request details of your transaction history with me, I will provide that information to you on an Excel spreadsheet within one month of your request being made.

7.   The right to object –

You have the right to object to me using and storing your personal information. If you request me to stop using and storing your personal information, giving the reason why you object, I will delete your personal information within one week of your request. Although I may delete your personal information, I will retain details of any transaction with you which I may need for tax and/or legal reasons.

8.   Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling –

I do not carry out automated individual decision-making and profiling, so these rights do not apply to my use of your personal information.

8. Transfer out of the European Economic Area

​

8.1 Wix’s servers are based in various countries around the world, including the United States, and your personal information will therefore be transferred out of the European Economic Area. Wix is a certified member of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework which seeks to safeguard your privacy and comes within the EU’s adequacy requirements for transfers out of the European Economic Area to the United States, see Section 5.2 of the Wix Privacy Policy https://www.wix.com/about/privacy. Wix complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of Personal Information out of the EU to other countries.

9. Complaints

9.1 If you are not happy about how I look after your personal information, you can write to me at any time telling me about your concerns and I will respond to you within two weeks. You can write to me at:
